I have been asked by many to post the proposal made at the last board meeting to save the schools. you will find the proposal below:

Revised proposal for saving closure of two elementary schools

-    Increase parent’s fee for full day                     $742,920.00

     kindergarten to total $1,640.00

     for the year, (based on calculations

     for cost to educate each full day

     kindergartener)

-    Increase lunch price by $ .52 per                   $313,185.00

     student, a total of $93.60 per year

     (approx. 3,346 students affected)

-    RISE surplus                            $165,000.00

           

-    Teacher Insurance contribution to                                                     $165,000.00

      general fund

       

-    Cut one (1) Tech administrator                           $71,812.00

      position

     

                               Total saved:  $1,457,917.00
