QUICK NOTES FOR THE REGULAR SCHOOL BOARD MEETING
JULY 14, 2008 @ 7:00 P.M.
♣Scott Veerkamp was sworn in as a new member of the school board.
♣Aaron Sullivan was sworn in at home by our school board attorney due to his accident and his inability to be present at tonight’s meeting.
♣Reorganization took place tonight and those outcomes include:
oPresident of School Board Steven Randall
oVice President of School Board Chris Wood
oSecretary of School Board Randall Bland
oSchool Board Attorney John Kitley
oTreasurer Jim McWhirt
oDeputy Treasurer Pam Hicks
oLegislative liaison Scott Veerkamp
oCentral Nine Representative Chris Wood
oCentral Nine Rep. Alternate Randall Bland
oR.I.S.E Representative Steven Randall
oIndiana Urban Schools Association Aaron Sullivan
oFranklin Twp. Education Foundation Scott Veerkamp
oPolicy Review Committee Rep. Randall Bland
oNegotiations Team Representative Randall Bland

oDesignee to sign community supported residential/student contracts for IDOE Dr. Walter Bourke
oSchool Board Meeting Dates Approved (see posted dates on calendar, comming soon)
oSchool Board Salary to remain at $2,000.00 annually with $75.00 fee for regular meetings and $60.00 for all other meetings.
♣Approved changes to Board Policy A1000 so that agenda can appear in any order to accommodate current needs of evening. All other parts remained unchanged.
♣Extension of administrator contracts approved for 2 years
♣Continued health coverage at 100% approved for administrators
♣Walking track for Edgewood Intermediate School not passed at 2 in favor & two opposed.
♣Walking track motion made and approved to reconsider this two to three months before the bond $$$ expire.
♣FCHS Show Choir trip to Orlando, Florida approved
♣Update of board policies reported and revision will take place as well as review over next 13 to 14 months to bring all policies up-to-standard.
♣Advertisements of 2009 budget approved for ads on 13th and 20th of August
♣Re-Approval of 2009 Central Nine Building Corporation as well as approval of $1,000,000 funding for updates and building at Central Nine approved.
♣Human resources report of new hires and transfers approved
